PeaZip is a free archiver and file manager utility, based on solid and proven Open Source technology of 7-Zip and other great Open Source tools (like FreeARC, PAQ, UPX...) for supporting additional file formats and features, in order to provide an all purpose zip utility featuring a powerful unified GUI that, unlike most of other classic file archivers like i.e. WinZip and WinRar, is natively portable and cross-platform, being available for Windows, Linux, and BSD. The program features powerful and flexible inclusion/exclusion filters and search tools, provide optional two factor authentication through password and keyfile, and allows to deeply fine tune the task’s definitions, exposing through a single, consistent frontend GUI the options of underlying applications.

Started enabling range check whenever possible preserving performances

(Linux) Delete after archiving/extraction option is now correctly set to "Quick delete" by default

Improved sanitization of input file names in multiple stages of the scripting engine, reducing false positives when metacharacters are employed

moved most validation checks on input file names to warn user, and prevent possible dangerous operations, as early as possible

removed use of a full console instance (cmd, bash, ...) for archiving/extraction tasks, and for any task receiving variable input, preserving the text-only "Console" operation mode

FILE MANAGER

(Windows) It is now possible to follow .lnk files links in PeaZip file browser with Ctrl+P, or context menu Navigation > "Explore path (PeaZip)"

The function opens the target directory, or parent directory if the link points to a file, in PeaZip's file browser rather than launching the link as with double click

Improved auto-refresh of file browser

EXTRACTION and ARCHIVING

Started implementing input size validation for legacy archive formats which can run into errors handling large files
