Expanding our cleaning 
• Better support for special-character folders. Custom Clean and Files to clean now handle folders with accented or special characters without crashing and clean them as expected. 
Enhancing our Software Updater 
• Clearer offline messages. Software Updater now shows the right “no internet” message when you try to scan while offline. 
• More reliable driver updates. Driver Updater no longer gets stuck when updating, so driver installs complete more smoothly. 
• More responsive Software Updater. We’ve fixed issues where Software Updater controls could appear or feel unresponsive. 
Simplifying the app 
• Easier Beta opt-in and opt-out. You can now join or leave the CCleaner Beta program directly from Settings. 
• More consistent light and dark themes. Your chosen theme is applied more reliably across different parts of the app. 
Taking the hassle out of PC maintenance 
• Shutdown countdown now behaves correctly. The “shutdown after clean” timer no longer pauses at a negative number before your PC powers off. 
• Interface alignment issues fixed. We’ve corrected a display shift so screens now appear where you expect them. 
 

Keeping you safe 
• Warnings and highlights are easier to see. We’ve adjusted some colors and layouts so important icons and messages stand out more clearly. 
Fixing bugs 
• Cloud Drive Cleaner icon fix. We’ve corrected an icon color so links are clearer for free users. 
• Onboarding alignment on larger screens. The menu info box now points to the right place on high-resolution displays. 
• Right-to-left language improvements. The welcome tour tooltip now lays out correctly in right-to-left languages. 
• Duplicate Finder layout and buttons fixed. Row spacing is now consistent, and the “Choose more files”, “Done”, and “View details” buttons work as expected after deleting duplicates. 

Changes in CCleaner for Mac v2.09 Build 187 (13 Oct 2023) :
The latest release of CCleaner for Mac introduces Quick Scan, the easiest way to scan your Mac for clutter without having to think where to start.  
• You can now ‘Quick Scan’ your Mac for unnecessary application cache, log files, trash, downloads, large files, and development junk – and delete it to make room for what you really need.  
• Quick Scan also helps you to clean your browser and delete records of your activity and personal info such as cookies, browsing history, or caches.

• We have also enhanced support for macOS Sonoma and resolved the issue that was preventing users from opening CCleaner from the Menu bar.

Winaero Tweaker.

The all-in-one app from Winaero. It will include almost all apps released by Winaero along with new tweaks and options.

Windows Tweaker supports Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

Features and options
Winaero Tweaker is a freeware app. It doesn't include ads, telemetry or any other way to track the user. It comes with plenty of features and tweaks. To name a few of them:
• Windows 11 features
  ○ Enable the full context menus without the 'Show more options' item.
  ○ The ability to restore the classic taskbar
  ○ Enable Ribbon in File Explorer
  ○ Change taskbar screen position, e.g. you can move it to the top
  ○ Change taskbar size
  ○ Disable background apps, all at once.
• Shortcut tools that you can use
  ○ To launch an app as Administrator without a UAC confirmation.
  ○ To directly open any Control Panel applet or system folder.
  ○ To directly open any Settings page.
  ○ To create shortcuts to the classic Shut Down Windows dialog (Alt+F4), and Safe Mode.
  ○ To remove or customize the shortcut arrow overlay icon.
  ○ To remove the " - shortcut" suffix.
  ○ To remove blue arrows from compressed files.
• Manage Windows apps and features.
  ○ Restore the classic search in File Explorer without Internet options

• Networking options
  ○ Change the RDP port.
  ○ Make mapped drives accessible for elevated apps.
• Tune up Windows appearance
  ○ Customize folders in This PC.
  ○ Customize entries in Navigation Pane in File Explorer (in the left pane).
  ○ Rename and change the icon for the Quick Access entry.
  ○ Increase the taskbar transparency level.
  ○ Show time seconds in the taskbar clock.
  ○ Disable blur for the sign-in screen.
  ○ Customize fonts, and the Alt+Tab dialog appearance.
  ○ Change the title bar color for inactive windows.
• Context menus
  ○ Add handy context menus using a huge set of presets, e.g. to switch a Power Plan with one click, open a Command Prompt, add a Settings cascading menu - plenty of them.
  ○ Hide default entries from the context menu, e.g. Edit with Photos, Edit with Paint 3D, etc.
  ○ Add 'Run as Administrator' to VBS, MSI, CMD and BAT files.
  ○ Change the default app for the Edit context menu entry for images.

• The app should now properly detect the Windows version, including Windows 11 24H2.
• The installer allows you to skip the addition of the Start menu folder.
• Added the option to permanently enable the Ribbon UI in File Explorer on Windows 11.
• An option to disable ads in the Start menu, in the "Recommended" section. The option is in Behavior > Ads and Unwanted apps.
• Individual Edge tweaking options are now live on a new page, and they are greatly expanded. Check out Microsoft Edge > Disable Annoyances and Bloat. There, you will find settings to disable sidebar, tips and promotions on desktop, prompts to set Edge as your default browser, floating Bing bar on desktop, remove news and "quick links" from the New tab page, and much, much more.
• You can now remove the "Edit with Clipchamp" context menu entry.
• The Tools \ System Restore page now has an option to quickly restart the device to Windows Recovery Environment.
• I have fixed a few tweaks that stopped working in 24H2, such as add/remove This PC folders.
• I have removed the "Folder options" page as Microsoft is no longer going to remove those.
• Removed the "test" message from the Hide Settings pages option (I use MessageBox debugging, yeah-yeah).
• There are a few small bugfixes.
